Online New Student Orientation
Description
Online New Student Orientation is your next step to graduation! This virtual event is designed specifically for students who are only taking online classes and provides an interactive experience to help you transition to Gordon State College. Online NSO is a convenient introduction to the college that is required for all new online students. Join us to learn about the resources, support, and tools available to help you succeed in your online academic journey! (If you are taking any in-person classes, please register for the in-person NSO.)
Questions & Answers
NSO connects you to your new Gordon State family by showcasing resources that will assist you in a successful transition to campus. NSO also provides you with the opportunity to meet your new peers while also exploring your new academic program.
If possible, please complete the following before NSO:
- Set up your Gordon email and your Gordon Banner Web to see your schedule, financial aid, and more (here).
- Set up Navigate to see your schedule, contact your advisor, and much more (use network/email password)
- Set up Multi-Factor Authentication-DUO
- If you have not completed the D2L pre-orientation course (including the Scheduling Survey) please do so.
- Wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking throughout the day.
- Bring a government-issued photo ID to receive your official GSC student ID card.
- If you plan to park in any campus parking lot during the semester (resident or commuter), bring your license plate number to receive your campus parking pass.
No, First Time Freshmen are encouraged to attend the orientation session for New Freshmen.
